Ramesh Rao

Dr. Ramesh Rao, Director of the Qualcomm Institute and Distinguished Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering at UCSD, has been a pivotal figure in telecommunications and information technology. Holding the Qualcomm Endowed Chair, he has led numerous interdisciplinary research initiatives and collaborative projects. An IEEE Fellow, Dr. Rao has received several accolades, including distinguished alumni awards from the National Institute of Technology and the University of Maryland, and is actively involved in various prestigious boards and societies, such as the California Council on Science and Technology (Calit2), Rady Children's Hospital and Health Center Board IT Task Force, and the San Diego Indian American Society
